Swimming has always been a major part of my life; I want to give back to it and keep it part of my life.
That's the one thing about me: I will not quit. I just don't quit. At this point, I don't know exactly what "moving forward" means, especially at this point in the road. But there's no standing still. I will keep moving forward.
I like to share where I've been with people who are curious, but for myself, I think it's always better to keep looking ahead.

Hobbies: Playing guitar and restoring classic cars
Ian was featured in a behind-the-scenes documentary in 2005 called "Unfiltered: The Story Behind the Rivalry" about his relationship with teammate and rival Michael Phelps.
